About the Role

We are looking for a strategic and experienced Vice President of Project Management to spearhead our enterprise project management efforts, portfolio oversight, and execution excellence. This executive role encompasses leading strategic initiative delivery, enhancing organizational execution, optimizing project governance, and ensuring cross-departmental synchronization with long-term corporate goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a comprehensive enterprise project management strategy aligned with company goals and priorities.
  • Lead the Project Management Office (PMO), managing portfolios, strategic programs, and cross-functional organizational initiatives.
  • Create and enforce frameworks for project governance, portfolio standards, delivery methods, and performance metrics promoting consistent accountability and execution quality.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and diverse business units including Finance, Operations, Product, Engineering, Technology, Sales, Marketing, HR, and Customer Success to ensure project priorities align with organizational strategy.
  • Manage project planning, prioritization, budgeting, resource allocation, scheduling, and capacity planning across the enterprise.
  • Track portfolio performance using executive dashboards, KPIs, forecasting tools, and business intelligence reporting to support data-driven decisions.
  • Lead initiatives to improve project delivery, operational efficiency, collaboration, and strategic implementation across the business.
  • Provide guidance on project prioritization, organizational planning, transformation efforts, and resource optimization at the executive level.
  • Establish strong partnerships with senior stakeholders to maintain transparency, alignment, and effective governance throughout project lifecycles.
  • Mentor and develop project management leaders, program managers, and PMO staff while promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, responsibility, and continuous development.
  • Oversee deployment and enhancement of project management platforms, portfolio tools, BI solutions, and collaboration technologies.
  • Handle departmental budget management, workforce planning, organizational development, and long-term capability building within the project function.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Operations Management, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Over 15 years of advancing experience in project/program management, PMO leadership, business operations, with executive leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven success in leading enterprise PMOs and executing complex, company-wide strategic initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of portfolio management, governance frameworks, strategic planning, execution excellence, and organizational operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead transformational change and influence decision-making at the executive level.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, financial acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills using data-driven business planning.
  • Experienced in managing enterprise project portfolios, operational budgets, executive reporting, forecasting, and resource planning.
  • Skilled in utilizing project portfolio management software, enterprise collaboration platforms, business intelligence tools, and other project delivery applications.
  • Experienced in managing remote and geographically dispersed teams and executing multiple strategic priorities within dynamic environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or related discipline highly preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, or equivalents are strongly desired.
  • Background leading project organizations in technology, healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, professional services, or other complex sectors beneficial.
  • Expertise with Agile, Lean, Scrum methodologies, organizational change management, portfolio enhancement, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience managing fully remote or global project management organizations.
