We are a motivated and dedicated team providing management and support for a major guarding services account spanning over 30 countries globally. We serve a leading datacenter organization by delivering top-tier security solutions through a highly integrated approach encompassing Security Operations, Business Operations, Operations Support, Human Resources, Training, and Environmental Health and Safety. As a member of the People Experience team, you will collaborate with senior global leaders to drive a complex and rapidly expanding program within a multi-stakeholder, matrixed environment.

Role Overview

The Director of Program Management is a senior leadership role accountable for establishing the operational system that efficiently advances complex tasks within the Datacenter Physical Security program, emphasizing clarity, speed, and discipline. This position oversees global teams in Project Management, Technical Communications, Business Analytics, and Logistics supporting the datacenter security program. The director manages the program's framework for governance, meeting cadences, and change management processes essential for planning, execution, communication, and sustainability of key initiatives across the account.

Key Responsibilities

You will bring structure to uncertain environments, transform strategies into actionable plans, and ensure that decisions, communications, milestones, risks, and actions reach appropriate audiences promptly. The role involves collaboration with senior leaders, technical teams, embedded project managers, vendors, client stakeholders, and field operations while upholding high standards for execution, stakeholder cohesion, and communication rigor.

What You'll Do

• Lead a portfolio of complex global programs demanding strong stakeholder consensus, rigorous execution, and high-level communication.
• Develop and maintain governance structures, decision-making forums, and communication systems to ensure smooth, coordinated work across all regions and functions.
• Partner with senior leaders, partners, operations teams, and client stakeholders to convert priority initiatives into actionable plans with clear roles, dependencies, timelines, and measurable results.
• Guide and inspire diverse teams cultivating a culture of accountability, sound decision-making, and effective follow-through.
• Shape upward, downward, and lateral communication of major projects to ensure messages are precise, trustworthy, and tailored to the audience.
• Identify and mitigate execution risks early, resolve interdepartmental conflicts, and keep momentum despite changing priorities.
• Enhance the program management function by standardizing operational processes, improving reporting, refining executive review materials, and reinforcing planning, escalation, and decision-making practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years progressive experience managing complex, cross-functional programs within global, matrixed organizations, including at least 3 years at a director level.
• Proven expertise managing initiatives that involve multiple senior stakeholders, regional priorities, and high standards for executive communication.
• Experience with global and multi-region operations; prior exposure to datacenter environments is preferred.
• Exceptional skills in stakeholder management, organizational communication, and coordinating decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to build governance frameworks, influence without direct authority, and drive cross-functional alignment.
• Executive presence, strong verbal and written communication, commercial acumen, and capability to simplify complexity.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise settings and sectors such as datacenter, critical infrastructure, security, or similarly complex environments is strongly favored.
• Prior leadership experience managing and mentoring managers and crafting high-performing teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to approximately 30%; valid passport required.
• Flexibility to work nights or weekends as necessary to support global staffing, critical events, or off-hour incidents.
• Reliable communication and transportation means, legal work authorization, and proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a base salary ranging from $200,000 to $230,000, with variations based on location and experience, specifically referenced for the Greater Seattle Area. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, parental leave, and paid time off.

Additional Information

The position demands the physical and mental capacity to perform all essential duties effectively, including maintaining poise under pressure during interactions with clients, authorities, executives, and staff. Independent work without supervision and multitasking abilities are essential. The job entails regular computer use, frequent lifting or moving objects up to 10 pounds, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds, and requires visual acuity for both near and far distances with the ability to adjust focus. Handling sensitive or confidential information is part of this role, which also requires schedule flexibility to meet operational needs.
