Role Overview
As Director of Product Management within the Lending Product organization, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and executing the product vision, infrastructure, and commercial success for core loan products — including HELOCs, mortgages, personal loans, and innovative financial offerings. This position demands partnership with senior stakeholders such as the VP of Product, General Managers, and executive teams across multiple departments to modernize technology platforms and fuel aggressive market expansion.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and mentor a world-class, multi-level product management team fostering a culture of excellence, operational rigor, and continual growth.
- Craft and advocate a long-term strategic vision and investment plan for lending products balancing short-term growth with foundational architecture modernization.
- Lead the transformation of lending technology including API-first systems, underwriting automation, pricing engines, and broker-facing platforms to scale external partnerships.
- Own business performance metrics such as funnel conversion rates, funding timelines, and product profitability.
- Coordinate closely with stakeholders in marketing, sales, credit risk, capital markets, legal, compliance, and operations to ensure regulatory alignment and seamless customer experiences.
- Incorporate emerging technologies, data analytics, and alternative underwriting data to maintain leadership in the evolving fintech landscape.
Qualifications
- Extensive expertise across the full digital consumer lending lifecycle including credit risk rule automation, loan origination technology, capital market integration, and unsecured/equity product domains.
- Demonstrated leadership of complex API-first transformations and cloud architecture modernization at enterprise scale, collaborating effectively with VP-level engineering teams.
- Outstanding executive communication and influence, successfully presenting strategic initiatives to C-level leaders and regulatory agencies.
- Proven success in scaling consumer lending platforms from inception to maturity.
