Role Overview

The Director of Product Management oversees the product development and design teams, managing the entire lifecycle from initial concept to market launch and ongoing enhancement. Collaboration with engineering, marketing, and sales is essential to align products with company goals and market requirements.

This position requires a forward-thinking perspective on artificial intelligence (AI) as a transformative influence on product creation, evaluation, and trustworthiness—not merely as an add-on feature. Given the intersection of commercial real estate and ESG data, the role demands comfort navigating a fragmented, often manually-input data landscape and understanding the high precision needed for regulatory-related reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to craft and refine product vision and strategy.
• Convert business objectives into actionable product roadmaps with distinct milestones.
• Analyze markets and competitors to ensure products surpass industry benchmarks, including standards upheld by leading AI-focused and property technology companies.
• Make informed prioritization decisions regarding feature development and defend exclusions from the roadmap.
• Assess the genuine benefits and drawbacks of integrating AI and automation, reflecting these considerations in development strategies.
• Lead and manage product managers, designers, and related personnel, establishing clear goals and promoting innovation and excellence.
• Cultivate team skills in evaluating AI/ML feature quality using performance data to enable evidence-based product launches.
• Coordinate recruitment, training, and career growth to build a strong product management group.
• Ensure punctual product deliveries through collaborative planning with engineering.
• Guide development priorities and allocate resources effectively for efficient use of personnel and budgets.
• Monitor and analyze product performance metrics to inform data-driven product improvements.
• Define and enforce strict accuracy and reliability standards for AI-powered features, postponing launches if needed to maintain quality.
• Continuously track the ongoing precision of AI features in production due to the regulatory significance of client data.
• Manage product budgets and strategically allocate resources to align with financial and business goals.
• Evaluate cost, latency, and control trade-offs concerning AI capabilities when planning resources.
• Act as the primary advocate for the product vision internally and externally, fostering stakeholder alignment and buy-in.
• Develop strong business relationships with enterprise customers who are domain experts and navigate complex purchasing and adoption cycles.
• Guarantee that AI-driven customer features have transparent human oversight and escalation processes, with clear explanations for customers and auditors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of five years’ experience in B2B product management.
• At least two years in leadership roles managing product management teams.
• Proven ability and enthusiasm for coaching and developing product professionals.
• Comfortable with data-driven decision-making processes.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Capable of navigating complex, collaborative, and ambiguous work settings.
• Familiarity with successful strategies for product and feature rollouts.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication abilities.

Supervisory Role

This position entails supervisory responsibilities over product management staff.
