About the Role

This leadership position is for a client of Weekday focused in the San Francisco Bay Area, offering an annual salary between INR 10,000,000 and INR 20,000,000. As the Director of Product Management, you will be responsible for setting the strategic vision and driving the execution of the product roadmap for a fast-growing SaaS and deep-tech company specializing in Observability platforms.

The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in product leadership, particularly with enterprise software products, and a strong technical background in Observability technologies like monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, and cloud-native platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a long-term product vision aligned with overall business goals.
  • Lead and develop a team of Product Managers, cultivating a culture that values innovation, ownership, and customer focus.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle from initial market research and discovery through successful launch and ongoing improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Design teams to deliver enterprise SaaS products on time and with high quality.
  • Gather deep customer insights via research, analytics, and direct interactions to uncover new product opportunities.
  • Make strategic prioritization decisions balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, and business impact.
  • Work alongside Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure successful market introduction and adoption.
  • Define metrics for product success, monitor ongoing performance, and utilize data to direct strategic choices.
  • Engage with executive leadership on portfolio planning, investment prioritization, and long-range product growth initiatives.
  • Stay current on market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape within the Observability ecosystem.

Required Qualifications

  • 15 to 25 years of professional experience including extensive leadership in Product Management roles.
  • Demonstrable success in leading enterprise SaaS or deep-tech product strategies from conception through delivery.
  • Expert knowledge of Observability domains such as monitoring, logging, APM, distributed tracing, and cloud-native observability platforms.
  • Proven ability to define product vision and steer complex, cross-functional product initiatives.
  • Experience mentoring and managing Product Managers in dynamic, high-growth settings.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset for making decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, including executive-level presentations.
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes and collaborating with Engineering teams.
  • Deep understanding of customer-focused product development and discovery frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience crafting and implementing Go-to-Market strategies for enterprise SaaS products.
  • Background in AI, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, cybersecurity, or platform engineering is advantageous.
  • Exposure to working with global enterprise clients and scaling products internationally.
  • Advanced degree such as an MBA or related qualifications in Business, Engineering, or Computer Science.
