Role Overview

The Director of Partnerships is responsible for cultivating and expanding revenue-generating relationships with mid-market and enterprise brands and agencies. This position blends proactive new client acquisition with deepening partnerships, utilizing consultative and solution-oriented sales approaches grounded in expertise in influencer marketing and the creator economy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Devise and implement targeted strategies to attract new mid-market and enterprise clients while increasing engagement within existing accounts.
  • Establish Later as a trusted and data-centric partner in influencer marketing, creator commerce, and social media.
  • Leverage market trends and client input to shape product direction and go-to-market plans.
  • Identify and qualify promising brands and agencies through prospecting activities.
  • Conduct consultative discovery sessions to uncover client needs, aligning Later's solutions accordingly.
  • Present compelling demonstrations of the platform and craft tailored proposals emphasizing Later's AI and data-driven capabilities.
  • Negotiate deals, close sales, and nurture revenue growth in both new and established partnerships.
  • Manage sales pipeline rigorously to ensure precise forecasting and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Strategy, and Customer Success teams to ensure exceptional client experience throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • Share insights from clients and market trends to support product development and service enhancements.
  • Contribute to creating sales playbooks and implementing best practices that elevate team effectiveness.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on influencer marketing, creator commerce, and digital advertising trends.
  • Utilize Later's AI and data capabilities to offer clients actionable recommendations and measurable results.
  • Continuously optimize sales methodologies to enhance productivity and impact.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of quota-bearing sales experience, preferably within SaaS, media, or influencer marketing sectors.
  • Proven success closing deals at enterprise levels and expanding existing client relationships.
  • Experience engaging marketing, brand, or media teams within Fortune 1000 companies and agencies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of influencer marketing, social media dynamics, and affiliate/creator commerce.
  • Capability to guide clients through a consultative and solutions-focused sales process.
  • Strong analytical mindset combined with innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation proficiency.
  • Self-motivated individual thriving in dynamic, rapidly expanding environments.

Compensation and Location

The position offers a total on-target earning (OTE) ranging from $250,000 to $300,000, including base salary and commission/variable pay. The company practices data-driven compensation benchmarking and conducts bi-annual reviews. Benefits packages are available for permanent employees.

This role supports remote work and has offices in Boston, MA; Vancouver, BC; and Vancouver, WA, with flexibility regarding candidate location for select positions.
