Job description

Overview

A founder-led family office is looking to hire a Director of Operations to work as a close partner to the Founder. The role is central to helping the organization execute priorities, coordinate across business interests, and maintain accountability for strategic workstreams.

The business is actively strengthening its internal structure, systems, and operational foundation to support future growth. It values an entrepreneurial, team-oriented approach with an emphasis on strong execution, practical decision-making, and operational discipline.

This position is a strong fit for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable bringing order to less-defined situations. The person in this role will help move initiatives forward, connect stakeholders, and keep critical projects on track.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Founder to advance major strategic priorities and business initiatives.
  • Own the coordination of cross-functional projects from early planning through delivery.
  • Build and refine workflows, systems, and operating cadences that strengthen efficiency, communication, and accountability.
  • Handle communication and coordination with advisors, vendors, and outside partners.
  • Monitor action items, milestones, and deliverables across several active initiatives at the same time.
  • Spot opportunities to improve how the organization operates and scales.
  • Assist with special projects, research work, and strategic planning support.
  • Keep alignment and momentum across a range of business and operational priorities.

Requirements

  • Background in a Chief of Staff, Director of Operations, Business Operations, Project Management, or comparable leadership position.
  • Prior experience supporting founders, executives, entrepreneurs, family offices, private investment firms, or closely held businesses.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
  • Strong organizational, project coordination, and communication abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently with good judgment, discretion, and a professional approach.
  • Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

Perks

  • Competitive compensation package.
  • Comprehensive benefits.
  • Parking provided.
  • Opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the growth of an expanding family office platform.

Additional Information

This role is based in Greater Boston and is an onsite position. The organization is seeking someone who can help create structure, improve operational effectiveness, and support long-term scale in a highly visible role.
