Job description
About the Opportunity
This is a confidential search for a Director of Operations to join a respected hospitality group that is entering a new phase of growth. The organization has a solid foundation, a history of strong performance, and an entrepreneurial mindset that continues to support innovation and expansion. As the company grows into new markets and opens additional restaurants, it is looking for a leader who can help guide that growth while protecting the culture and service standards that have driven its success.
The Director of Operations will lead across several restaurant locations and work closely with executive leadership to strengthen operational performance, develop talent, and help deliver growth plans. This person will be instrumental in building teams, coaching leaders, and putting the systems, accountability, and culture in place needed for continued expansion.
This position is ideal for an experienced multi-unit operator who has already worked at the Director or Vice President level and wants to have a meaningful impact in a growing, entrepreneurial hospitality environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead and support multiple restaurant locations, making sure hospitality, day-to-day operations, and financial results are delivered at a high standard.
- Coach and develop General Managers and other operational leaders to build a strong bench of future talent.
- Foster a workplace culture centered on accountability, strong performance, and ongoing improvement.
- Work with executive leadership on strategic planning, expansion efforts, and organizational growth.
- Help with new restaurant launches, market entry, and the rollout of new concepts and locations.
- Review operational and financial results to identify ways to improve margins, efficiency, and guest experience.
- Support leadership development, succession planning, and training programs for future leaders.
- Maintain consistent standards across locations while protecting the distinct identity and culture of each concept.
- Partner with Culinary, Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, and Development teams to meet business goals.
- Act as a visible representative of the organization’s culture, values, and commitment to hospitality.
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of leadership experience across multiple units at the Director of Operations, Vice President of Operations, or a similar senior level in a high-volume, full-service restaurant business.
- Proven ability to manage multiple restaurant locations while developing strong General Managers and operational leaders.
- History of improving financial performance across a restaurant portfolio, including labor control, profitability, sales growth, and operational efficiency.
- Experience supporting restaurant openings, geographic expansion, and other organizational growth initiatives.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence, motivate, and hold people accountable at every level.
- Experience creating leadership pipelines, succession plans, and development programs that strengthen the organization over time.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think broadly while also executing effectively on the ground.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building abilities.
- Genuine passion for hospitality, people development, and building thriving teams and businesses.
