Director of Operations

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Director of Operations to oversee multiple manufacturing plants for a well-established, family-owned food company with a respected brand in the frozen food sector. This leadership position is based in Bangor, Maine, and involves directing all manufacturing activities across the United States. The focus will be on instilling operational excellence through strong commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage operations across all manufacturing sites in the US for the frozen food brand.
• Promote and uphold the highest standards of food safety, quality, and cost management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives emphasizing lean processes and operational efficiency.
• Build and sustain a culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and performance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated servant leadership style with an ability to influence and develop teams.
• Extensive experience in managing large-scale food or beverage manufacturing plants.
• Proven success in delivering results through optimizing people, processes, and systems.
• Experience with implementing Lean, TPM, or similar Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Strong strategic planning skills including vision setting and effective execution.
• Highly proactive, with a strong sense of urgency and decisive action orientation.
