Overview
A growing multi-brand quick-service restaurant group in Canada is looking for a senior Director of Operations to oversee its national network. This is a high-impact leadership role based in North York, Ontario, with accountability for operational performance across the country.
The position involves leading a substantial field operations organization, including senior leaders who manage regional teams. The right person will be comfortable moving between corporate strategy and hands-on field visits, working closely with franchisees to strengthen execution, consistency, and results.
Compensation for this role is $140,000 to $160,000, plus bonus and benefits. There is also a clear path for advancement as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of overall operational performance across the Canadian business.
- Guide, coach, and develop senior field leaders along with their regional teams.
- Improve profitability, operational standards, and franchisee outcomes.
- Create and roll out operational systems, strategies, and best practices.
- Use data and performance insights to spot gaps and drive stronger business results.
- Support franchise partners through hands-on coaching, issue resolution, and day-to-day operational direction.
- Lead restaurant launches and support onboarding for new franchisees.
- Make sure brand standards, compliance expectations, and guest experience goals are met consistently nationwide.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive senior multi-unit leadership background in a QSR franchise setting is mandatory.
- Solid knowledge of franchise operations and how to support franchise partners effectively.
- Experience managing broad, geographically spread-out operations.
- Strong analytical thinking with sound commercial and financial judgment.
- Proven track record of leading leaders, building capability, and developing future talent.
- Entrepreneurial approach with a practical, solution-oriented mindset.
- Able to switch between strategic planning and active field leadership.
- Prepared to travel frequently across Canada.
