Job description

About the company

Telegraphenamt Hotel Berlin, ABION Hotel Berlin, and the BOLLE Festsäle form a Berlin-based hospitality group that combines contemporary hotel operations, heritage buildings, and adaptable event venues. The Telegraphenamt, once Germany’s most elaborate postal building, now serves as a landmark location with flexible spaces for corporate meetings, conferences, and premium events. The ABION Hotel on the River Spree offers elegant rooms, strong meeting facilities, and the Spreebogen area with ABION Villa, CARL & SOPHIE Spree Restaurant, and the historic yacht Aida. The BOLLE Festsäle are housed in a protected clinker-brick former dairy complex and provide more than 3,000 m² of space, including a grand hall and chapel, making them one of Berlin’s most striking venues for congresses, exhibitions, and evening events. Together, these properties create distinctive places where history and modern hospitality meet in a memorable setting.

Role overview

This leadership position is responsible for shaping and executing the marketing direction for Telegraphenamt Hotel Berlin. The role combines strategic brand stewardship with hands-on campaign management and close coordination across commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Build, refine, and implement the hotel’s marketing and brand strategy.
  • Lead, guide, and develop the marketing team.
  • Plan and manage all online and offline promotional activities, including the website, social channels, campaigns, and print materials.
  • Own the brand image, visual identity, and core messaging.
  • Coordinate with external agencies and service providers.
  • Work closely with sales, events, and revenue management to generate leads and drive revenue.
  • Prepare, monitor, and control the marketing budget, including KPI tracking and reporting to senior management.
  • Track market developments and competitor activity, then translate insights into concrete actions.

Candidate profile

Applicants should bring a relevant background in marketing, communication, business administration, hospitality management, or event management, or an equivalent qualification. Several years of experience in both strategic and operational marketing are expected, ideally gained within hospitality, gastronomy, or a related hospitality environment. The position also calls for proven brand-building experience and the ability to manage integrated campaigns across online and offline channels. Strong knowledge of digital marketing disciplines such as SEO, SEA, social media, email marketing, and website optimisation is required. Candidates should also demonstrate strong analytical and conceptual thinking, with a solid grasp of KPIs, ROI, and budget management. Prior leadership experience, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to motivate and develop a team are essential. The role further requires a high level of ownership, strong organisational skills, effective execution, a polished professional presence, and a refined sense of brand aesthetics. Fluent German and English, both spoken and written, are necessary.

Benefits

  • Discounts for food and beverage offerings, spa services, and selected cultural or event experiences.
  • Access to corporate benefits on additional products and services.
  • Coverage of workwear cleaning costs.
  • Referral bonus for successful employee recommendations.
  • 28 days of annual leave.
  • Above-tariff pay, plus Christmas bonus.
  • Employer contribution toward capital-forming benefits.
  • Individual development and growth opportunities, including cross-training and task-force assignments.
  • Company health management support.
  • Free, balanced, healthy, and varied meals in the team bistro.
  • Personal recognition for birthdays and work anniversaries.
  • A Green Promise, reflecting a commitment to responsible action and a lifestyle in harmony with nature.
