Collaborating closely with Government departments, Local Authorities, and the Health Service Executive, this organization operates with a robust team of 500 staff and 200 volunteers, managing a budget exceeding €30 million. It delivers high-quality, safe, and supportive services benefiting more than 8,000 individuals annually.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the CEO and partnering within the Executive Management Team, the Director of Homeless Services will assume strategic and operational leadership over crisis intervention, outreach, emergency accommodation, and short-term community programs. This newly created executive position reflects organizational expansion and rising complexity in homelessness services. The Director will collaborate with senior leadership and the Board to set strategy, champion service transformation, and cultivate partnerships across homelessness, housing, and health sectors.

The role demands oversight of service quality, governance, workforce planning, financial management, and strategic development. Maintaining safe, sustainable, person-centered services that focus on achieving positive housing outcomes is essential. Performance will be measured against strategic goals, organizational scorecards, service standards, governance, financial results, workforce effectiveness, and adherence to Dublin Simon Community's core values.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is an inspirational executive leader with extensive experience managing complex, multi-location services within homelessness, housing, health, social care, or related regulated fields. Demonstrated strengths include strategic leadership, operational excellence, translating strategy into successful service delivery, organizational change management, and continuous improvement.

Exceptional relationship-building skills are necessary to engage with senior stakeholders across government, health services, funders, and sector partners while representing the organization at senior levels. The successful Director will exhibit outstanding governance and financial stewardship, alongside commitment to trauma-informed, person-centered care and sustainable, evidence-based service models.
