Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Head of Delivery to oversee and elevate the performance and operational management of employability and skills contracts across the North East of England. Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage the operational execution of multiple employability and skills contracts.
  • Ensure contracts meet and exceed KPIs, quality standards, and financial targets.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop senior management and delivery teams towards exemplary outcomes.
  • Maintain strict compliance with funding requirements, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards.
  • Utilise data-driven insights, management information, and reporting to monitor and improve performance.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with commissioners, employers, and key external partners.
  • Identify and implement service enhancements, innovative approaches, and growth opportunities.
  • Support the launch and expansion of new contracts and services as needed.
  • Manage operational budgets effectively to meet commercial goals.
  • Foster a culture emphasizing customer success, continuous improvement, and high operational standards.

Candidate Profile

  • Extensive senior leadership experience in employability, skills development, or welfare-to-work sectors.
  • Comprehensive understanding of government-funded programmes and contract management.
  • Proven ability to manage large operational teams with multiple management layers.
  • Expertise in performance management, quality assurance, and compliance processes.
  • Strong commercial acumen with budget and financial oversight experience.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and collaborative relationship building skills.
  • Ability to analyze performance data and deliver impactful improvements.
  • Inspirational leadership style geared towards developing and sustaining high-performing teams.
  • Possession of a valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the North East region as required.
