Role overview
Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som is looking for a seasoned and forward-thinking Director of Health & Wellness to oversee its premium wellness operation. In this senior leadership position, you will shape the direction of the department, elevate guest experiences, and ensure the resort continues to deliver world-class wellness service rooted in the wellness principles of Zulal and Chiva-Som.
The role calls for a leader who can balance strategic planning with hands-on operational oversight. You will be expected to improve service standards, create fresh wellness experiences, guide a diverse team, and help strengthen the resort’s standing as a leading wellness destination.
Key responsibilities
- Direct the full Health & Wellness function while ensuring alignment with Chiva-Som service standards, wellness values, and applicable local health rules.
- Maintain high operational standards by monitoring service delivery, guest feedback, departmental outcomes, and ongoing improvement efforts.
- Oversee budgets, financial discipline, resource allocation, and efficiency measures to support business goals.
- Recruit, coach, and develop cross-functional wellness teams, ensuring the right staffing levels, effective training, and strong performance.
- Design new wellness offerings and work closely with Sales & Marketing to expand the resort’s program portfolio, brand strength, and revenue potential.
- Develop trusted relationships with guests and external partners to deliver memorable experiences, high service quality, and lasting loyalty.
Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Wellness Management, Hospitality Management, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a similar discipline is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience gained in a luxury wellness resort, destination spa, or five-star hospitality setting.
- Background in managing multicultural, multidisciplinary teams; experience in pre-opening environments will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of integrated wellness practices, including TAIM, nutrition, fitness, holistic therapies, and high-end guest service.
- Proven capability in operational leadership, budget management, service quality enhancement, and wellness program creation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities; fluency in English is essential, and additional languages are beneficial.

This is an executive-level position based in Al Ruwais, Ash Shamal, Qatar. The opportunity is a full-time, onsite role.
