Position Overview

Inpax Shipping Solutions is searching for a seasoned operational leader based in Atlanta, GA, with required regional travel, to manage the fleet, facilities, safety protocols, compliance, recruiting, onboarding, insurance, and asset management across the Southeast region. The role is critical for safeguarding personnel and assets, while designing scalable frameworks that support ongoing organizational growth. Candidates should thrive in dynamic environments and balance time between office and field duties. The position reports directly to the executive team and influences long-term growth strategies.

Fleet Operations

  • Administer company-owned and leased vehicles.
  • Establish preventative maintenance timetables.
  • Coordinate with third-party repair and maintenance vendors.
  • Supervise fleet usage and replacement schedules.
  • Control fleet-related expenditures.
  • Monitor vehicle licensing, registrations, inspections, and permits.
  • Enhance fleet uptime and vehicle accessibility.

Facilities Management

Accountable for all company locations such as corporate offices, distribution centers, courier stations, warehouses, parking areas, loading docks, security systems, and their upkeep. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, landscaping, janitorial services, facility repairs, capital projects, vendor management, lease coordination, inspections, security, access control, and emergency preparedness to maintain a professional atmosphere for staff and clients.

Safety and Risk Management

  • Develop and uphold a strong safety culture emphasizing driver and facility safety.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT standards.
  • Manage accident investigations, corrective actions, safety meetings, driver evaluations, ride-along programs, safety audits, injury prevention, and coordination of workers' compensation.
  • Lead safety initiatives aimed at reducing incidents while enhancing employee responsibility.

Driver Recruiting and Onboarding

  • Establish and maintain recruiting pipelines and relationships with partners.
  • Conduct interviews and improve hiring quality.
  • Focus on lowering turnover and creating career development programs.
  • Manage onboarding processes including background checks, drug testing, license verifications, safety orientations, policy education, training, technology setup, uniform distribution, and compliance documentation.

Insurance and Claims Management

  • Serve as primary contact with insurance providers.
  • Handle accident reporting, claims processing, loss investigations, documentation, renewals, premium reduction efforts, root cause analysis, and risk mitigation planning.

Compliance

  • Maintain company adherence to DOT, OSHA, fleet inspections, driver qualification files, safety and equipment checks, and regulatory reporting.

Asset Management

  • Oversee company assets including vehicles, trailers, forklifts, material handling and warehouse equipment, office technology, mobile devices, uniforms, fuel cards, and GPS devices.
  • Develop lifecycle management and replacement plans.

Technology and Leadership

  • Manage operational technologies such as fleet and GPS tracking software, maintenance systems, inspection tools, dashboards, and reporting platforms.
  • Create key performance indicator reports for executives.
  • Implement scalable systems focused on standardization, cost control, process improvement, accountability, employee growth, and vendor relations.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Sales, HR, and Finance departments to drive company growth.

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 8 years in leadership roles within transportation, logistics, fleet or facilities management, or related sectors.
  • Proven multi-functional operational management experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of DOT regulations and OSHA standards.
  • Experience managing maintenance programs and vendor negotiations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, project management, and budgeting skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent relevant experience is acceptable.

  • Fleet availability and uptime.

  • Frequency and cost of insurance claims.
  • Driver retention.
  • Speed of filling driver vacancies and onboarding completion.
  • Compliance with preventative maintenance and facility inspections.
