Role Summary
The Director of Global Data Center Construction will lead a comprehensive global program responsible for delivering a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of AI infrastructure projects. This role entails ensuring projects meet safety, quality, budget, and timeline targets while collaborating closely with various departments and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire global data center construction portfolio, overseeing a multi-billion-dollar capital expenditure and delivery pipeline.
- Develop and implement construction strategies, including selecting and managing general contractors, EPCM firms, and vital vendor partnerships.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and complying with quality and technical standards specific to AI computing operations.
- Set up program-wide risk management processes, quality assurance and control protocols, and reporting metrics.
- Partner with Site Acquisition, Design, and Sourcing teams to mitigate risks and solve complex technical or contractual challenges at the executive level.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 15 years overseeing large-scale, complex industrial or critical infrastructure construction programs.
- At least 7 years’ experience in hyperscale data center construction or mission-critical facility projects.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiating large-scale contracts, such as Guaranteed Maximum Price agreements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Advanced degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
