Overview
This senior leadership role is dedicated to fortifying the frameworks of financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and business decision-making in a global enterprise. The Director will drive the creation of scalable FP&A workflows, enhance data transparency, and foster the deployment of advanced analytics capabilities by collaborating closely with finance, accounting, technology, and data departments.
The position is pivotal for introducing automation, governance, and excellence in operations within a complex, tech-driven environment. The role offers the chance to formulate trustworthy reporting structures and generate actionable insights that directly influence strategic decisions and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, optimize, and oversee FP&A processes inclusive of planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance management across the corporation.
- Develop standardized frameworks that enhance consistency, transparency, scalability, and traceability in financial procedures.
- Lead initiatives to transform processes by pinpointing inefficiencies, redesigning workflows, and maintaining continuous improvement strategies.
- Establish business requirements aligning financial processes with planning platforms, ERP systems, reporting tools, and data technologies.
- Promote advanced analytics, automation, predictive models, and AI-enhanced insight generation via structured financial data frameworks.
- Create executive dashboards, KPIs, and reporting formats supportive of senior leadership decisions across various regions and business units.
- Implement governance models prioritizing process integrity, data quality, operational maturity, and automation.
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Data, and Technology affiliates to ensure harmonization between financial processes and enterprise systems.
- Guide the advancement of financial planning capabilities through adoption of innovative technology and analytics solutions.
Candidate Requirements
- Over a decade of experience (10+ years) in FP&A, business analytics, finance transformation, or senior financial leadership roles.
- Demonstrated expertise applying reporting standards, financial analysis, and process optimization strategies within multifaceted organizations.
- Profound knowledge of finance technology enablement, automation projects, and digital transformation efforts.
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as Anaplan, Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, along with advanced Excel skills.
- Proven record of building scalable planning processes, governance frameworks, and insightful reporting capabilities.
- Ability to integrate financial planning across profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasting.
- Analytical acumen to define KPIs, evaluate process efficiency, and elevate operational maturity.
- Capacity to influence executive-level stakeholders and work effectively across global, multifunctional teams.
- Experience enabling AI-powered insights and advanced analytics founded on connected and reliable data architectures.
- Leadership in managing teams focused on process excellence, financial architecture, and insight delivery.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and change management competencies.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary based on location:
- United States: $160,000 to $210,000 USD annually
- Canada: $140,000 to $180,000 CAD annually
