Role Overview
The Director of Finance holds a strategic leadership position, responsible for maintaining the financial robustness and supporting the long-term growth strategy of Twin Farms. This role involves managing all financial operations to ensure transparency, accuracy, and compliance, while collaborating closely with leadership to drive capital planning and operational decisions.
Key Duties
- Oversee all accounting activities including general ledger management, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Implement and maintain stringent internal controls and audit procedures for transparency and compliance.
- Coordinate annual audits, tax submissions, and meet regulatory requirements.
- Analyze financial results to detect trends and recommend improvement measures.
- Lead budgeting cycles and financial forecasting, building financial models to aid business decisions.
- Provide variance analyses and actionable insights to assist leadership and department heads.
- Evaluate and optimize cost structures for efficiency and control.
- Collaborate on long-range planning, capital investments, and strategic business initiatives.
- Manage financial aspects of construction, renovation, and capital projects, including budgeting and return on investment assessments.
- Handle cash flow management, banking relationships, and maintain liquidity to support operations.
- Lead and support the accounting team to build a culture of accountability and precision.
- Work cross-functionally with multiple departments to promote financial literacy and accountability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA or MBA credentials are advantageous.
- 7 to over 10 years of increasing responsibility in finance or accounting roles, preferably within hospitality or similar environments.
- Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
- Experience with strategic financial analysis and modeling.
- Knowledge of hotel or resort operations highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication abilities to translate complex financial data into understandable insights.
- Ability to manage various priorities effectively in a dynamic setting.
Work Conditions
- Requires being on-site 2 to 3 days per week.
- Fast-paced and hands-on environment requiring both strategic insight and operational involvement.
- Close collaboration with leadership and department teams throughout the property.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary ranging from $110,000 to $130,000.
