Role Overview
We are seeking a Director of Events and Field Marketing to lead impactful field marketing efforts that enhance brand visibility, customer engagement, and revenue performance. This role requires crafting comprehensive event strategies and collaborating closely with sales and marketing teams to produce measurable pipeline growth through both owned and third-party events. The Director will manage a marketing team and steer account-based marketing and go-to-market strategies across multiple businesses in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement national and regional field marketing approaches aligned with growth and revenue targets.
- Lead organization of customer conferences, executive gatherings, workshops, roadshows, trade expos, and strategic sponsorships.
- Supervise and develop a team of field and event marketing experts, working synergistically with Sales to align on target markets, priority accounts, and pipeline objectives.
- Design integrated campaigns amplifying events’ effect before, during, and post-event.
- Administer event-related budgets, vendor relationships, agency collaborations, contracts, and logistics.
- Establish and track KPIs such as pipeline creation, attendance, engagement, conversion rates, and ROI for continual optimization.
- Partner with Product Marketing, Brand, Sales, and partners to align messaging and deliver account-based marketing initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 8 years in B2B marketing, including 4+ years in leading field or event marketing programs.
- Minimum 2 years managing teams with proven capacity to drive high performance.
- Demonstrated success generating pipeline and business results via events and field marketing.
- Experienced in managing significant marketing budgets, remote teams, and complex multi-location or global events.
- Strong leadership, organizational capabilities, project management acumen, and executive-level communication skills.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, marketing automation tools like HubSpot, and event management platforms such as Cvent and Popl.
- Knowledge of account-based marketing methodologies with experience collaborating across Sales, Product Marketing, and Brand functions.
- Background in SaaS, enterprise tech, or cloud sectors preferred, including managing large-scale user conferences.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25-40% for business purposes.
