Role overview
2 Hour Learning is looking for a senior academic strategist to own the execution of its learning model and help scale a system built around AI-powered tutoring, mastery-based progression, and major improvements in student outcomes. The organization says students learn at roughly twice the usual rate in only two hours per day, and it now needs someone who can turn that approach into disciplined day-to-day execution across multiple school environments.
This role is centered on operational leadership rather than experimentation. You will be expected to raise academic standards, identify where performance is slipping, build capable teams, and represent the model publicly as a credible voice in learning science and school transformation.
What you will do
- Translate learning science into practical academic systems that shape curriculum design, motivation structures, and product or app interfaces.
- Review execution with Heads of Academics to ensure teams stay aligned, accountable, and focused on delivering results.
- Use data analysis, interviews with stakeholders, and direct observation to assess the academic ecosystem and pinpoint the biggest barriers to faster learning.
- Recommend targeted improvements and maintain strategic focus through planning, feedback loops, and milestone tracking.
- Represent 2 Hour Learning in prominent external settings, including keynote events and discussions with Ministries of Education.
What this role is not
- This is not a narrow curriculum-only role with limited organizational impact.
- You will not be expected to do academic research that stays detached from measurable student outcomes or implementation.
- You will not hand off team performance ownership to middle managers or outside consultants.
- Success will not depend on institutional prestige or unproven theory.
