Role Overview

As the Director of Ecosystem Growth for Indonesia, you will spearhead Circle's market intelligence, brand development, stakeholder engagement, and ecosystem expansion across the Indonesian market. This position also contributes to regional initiatives and underpins Circle’s compliant presence in jurisdictions with evolving regulatory frameworks pertaining to digital asset operations. You will coordinate closely with cross-functional teams including Commercial, Business Development, Product, Policy, Legal, and Compliance to provide deep regional insights and support authorized market activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough market intelligence gathering across Indonesia’s DeFi, crypto capital markets, payments, remittance services, and institutional use cases to build Circle’s presence.
• Identify ecosystem participants and potential partners; manage inbound partnership queries authentically and document them without actively soliciting, promoting, or advertising Circle’s offerings in regulated jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with Commercial and Business Development teams by sharing regional market insights, channeling inbound interest, and aiding compliant engagement and regulatory outreach led by authorized representatives.
• Drive coordinated efforts across Product, Solutions, Operations, Marketing, Policy, Legal, and Compliance to feedback market information and sustain compliant ecosystem interactions; execution of commercial agreements and active promotion handled by authorized personnel.
• Help define Circle’s regional approach by shaping market intelligence, evaluating entry sequencing in countries, and identifying top opportunities in partnerships, use cases, and regulation.
• Support engagement with regulators, policymakers, industry groups, and ecosystem stakeholders working closely with Policy and Legal teams.
• Represent Circle as a trusted operator engaging senior external stakeholders in key Indonesian markets.
• Monitor and communicate insights on market conditions, regulatory advances, and stakeholder activities to guide strategy and compliance oversight in Indonesia.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience (12+ years) in business development and market expansion roles.
• Proven track record increasing growth, revenue, or transaction volumes within fintech, payments, crypto, or financial infrastructure sectors.
• Strong history of capturing market share by converting competitors’ customers or acquiring first movers.
• Acute commercial acumen with action and outcome-driven mindset.
• Experience navigating complex partnerships across Sales, Business Development, Product, and technical teams.
• In-depth knowledge of crypto markets, stablecoins, decentralized finance, or institutional financial flows.
• Self-driven with the ability to perform independently in ambiguous settings while ensuring accountability.
• Polished executive presence and ability to interface meaningfully with senior commercial, regulatory, and policy leaders.
• Fluent in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, verbally and in writing.
• Familiarity with generative AI models such as ChatGPT and Gemini, including prompt crafting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with rapidly scaling fintech, blockchain, or payments companies within the Indonesian market.
• Established experience building replicable operational frameworks and procedures across multiple Web3 or crypto markets.
• Cultural agility and proven leadership of diverse, distributed teams.
• Comfort thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous situations, blending strategic vision with strong operational rigor.
• Experience using tools like Slack, Apple MacOS, and GSuite.
