Role Overview
The Director of Customer Marketing oversees strategic marketing initiatives targeted at key foodservice customers in the West Region. This leadership role focuses on growing customer value, increasing beverage uptake, and driving profitable business growth through joint business planning, innovation pipeline development, and digital marketing efforts. The position works cross-functionally with various internal groups to execute customer-focused strategies effectively.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive beverage marketing strategies built on overarching customer plans, leveraging national marketing efforts.
- Create and manage yearly marketing calendars aligned with customers’ long-term planning, including conducting customer marketing stewardship evaluations.
- Utilize national marketing campaigns, brand insights, consumer data, and internal resources to enhance customer strategies and boost consumer preference.
- Act as a trusted advisor for the West Region by providing strategic guidance, sharing best practices, and delivering scalable marketing solutions that foster customer growth across the portfolio.
- Build and maintain senior-level customer partnerships, championing both client and company goals to fulfill growth commitments.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Operations teams to strengthen partnerships and drive business results.
- Present consumer and industry insights as persuasive stories to inform strategy and decision-making, linking findings to brand and category implications.
- Identify channel-specific marketing opportunities based on prioritization of customer, channel, and consumer insights tied to brand strategies.
- Conduct customer business analyses including competitor assessments to recommend expansion and market integration opportunities.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or an equivalent field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in business development within consumer-packaged goods, agencies, or foodservice sectors, preferably combining customer management and marketing leadership roles.
- Strong ability to interpret consumer behavior, brand strategies, and channel dynamics to convert insights into tangible business outcomes.
- Expertise in category innovation, digital ecosystems, and agency management.
- Advanced strategic thinking skills and demonstrated application in marketing contexts.
- Proven leadership, collaboration, and influencing abilities.
- Competency in using account performance data and analytical tools to support business plans and opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including storytelling to create compelling sales narratives.

Compensation and Benefits
