Overview

Eton Bridge Partners is conducting a confidential recruitment to find a Director of Corporate Finance for a major private equity-backed infrastructure company operating in a capital-intensive, regulated sector. Reporting directly to the CFO, this pivotal role will lead all aspects of corporate finance, including funding strategy, capital structure optimization, treasury functions, and investor relations. The position is integral to the finance leadership team and will drive a significant balance sheet transformation to support the company's next ownership phase and long-term value growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy concerning capital structure, funding mechanisms, and long-term liquidity in line with strategic goals.
  • Manage debt and equity funding initiatives, including refinancing efforts and engagement with lenders, investors, and credit rating agencies.
  • Oversee treasury activities, such as cash management, forecasting, and financial risk mitigation across the group.
  • Support capital allocation decisions through investment evaluations and strategic financial analyses to enhance value creation.
  • Provide financial leadership for mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, or strategic transactions as necessary.
  • Establish and nurture a highly capable corporate finance team by designing organizational structures, assessing capabilities, and fostering team development.
  • Collaborate closely with the CFO, Board, and shareholders to advise on financing strategies and maintain balance sheet sustainability.
  • Act as a key member of the finance leadership group, advancing finance transformation and enhancing overall performance.

Candidate Profile

  • Extensive corporate finance experience covering capital structure, funding, treasury, and financial strategy within comparably complex businesses.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex debt structures, including structured or securitized finance and public debt markets.
  • Strong background in investor relations and interaction with credit rating agencies and other external parties.
  • Experience in capital-intensive, infrastructure, regulated, or similarly complex industries is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated history of leading change, building teams, and elevating finance capabilities in dynamic organizations.
  • Strategic and practical leadership approach, effective at the executive level and hands-on execution.
  • Relevant professional credentials such as ACA, CFA, or equivalent qualifications.

Location and Working Arrangements

This role offers a hybrid working model based in London and South East England.
