Job description
Role Overview
As Director of Corporate Affairs for the DACH region based in Eschborn, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing Randstad's corporate reputation strategy across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This leadership position reports to the Executive Leadership Team and involves spearheading corporate affairs to support advocacy initiatives and organizational transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic communications advisor to the DACH Executive Team, incorporating insights from employees and market dynamics to inform key decisions.
- Lead media relations in the DACH area by tailoring global corporate messaging to regional markets to enhance brand visibility and equity.
- Create and implement communication strategies for executive announcements, town halls, and other leadership milestones.
- Manage political advocacy efforts by monitoring regulatory and labor market developments and provide actionable counsel accordingly.
- Build coalitions with senior government officials, policymakers, and industry groups to position Randstad as a top-tier industry authority.
- Design and deliver change communication programs to support Randstad's transformation efforts in the region.
- Prepare and coach executives for crisis communications and media interactions.
- Oversee the sustainability and corporate social responsibility agenda, aligning local initiatives with global ESG goals.
- Collaborate with HR and NGOs to develop impactful community engagement and volunteer programs that enhance employee involvement.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary corporate affairs teams specialising in communications, public affairs, and sustainability to create a cohesive regional strategy.
- Mentor senior team members, resolve operational challenges, and elevate organizational insights to support strategic board-level decisions.
Team Composition
- Communications Specialists with robust knowledge of Randstad culture and media networks in the DACH markets.
- Experienced Public Affairs Professionals familiar with regulatory policies and political landscapes.
- Sustainability and ESG specialists focused on corporate citizenship and community initiatives.
Requirements and Experience
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or brand management.
- At least 5 to 7 years in a leadership role within relevant fields.
- Strong competencies in stakeholder and crisis management, consulting, and partnering with business units.
