Job description
About Argentum AI
Argentum AI is developing an independent institutional cloud for AI, bringing together global GPU compute, power-backed capacity, and enterprise-level infrastructure into a single accountable platform. The company is expanding internationally and is strengthening the operational backbone needed to support rapid growth and complex workflows.
They are looking for a Director of Business Operations to design the systems, processes, and execution standards that help the business run smoothly and consistently as it scales.
Role Overview
This position reports to the Vice President of Operations and sits at the core of program management, business process design, internal tooling, and operating discipline.
The focus is on turning finalized designs and acquired hardware into executed work: making sure plans move forward, responsibilities are clearly assigned, handoffs happen cleanly, deadlines are monitored, blockers are escalated early, and important tasks do not get missed.
You will help shape the project management function, improve business operations across internal teams, and put in place processes that enable dependable delivery in a fast-moving environment. The role is mainly internal, with a smaller but meaningful emphasis on improving the operational flows that contribute to strong customer outcomes.
This is a team-building position. The Director will start as a hands-on operating leader and, over time, grow and manage a team of managers overseeing key business operations and program management areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and expand Argentum AI's business operations and program management capability.
- Create operating workflows that carry finalized designs and purchased hardware through execution, coordination, tracking, and delivery.
- Establish practical systems for ownership, progress updates, risk monitoring, escalation, and cross-functional follow-through.
- Ensure work across teams is captured, assigned, monitored, and completed with clear accountability.
- Strengthen handoffs between internal groups so timelines, commitments, dependencies, and action items remain visible and intact.
- Assess, introduce, and refine SaaS tools and internally built systems that support project tracking, reporting, workflow management, documentation, and operational visibility.
- Create reporting and dashboards that give leadership a clear picture of priorities, momentum, blockers, and risks.
- Work with operations, infrastructure, go-to-market, finance, product, and customer-facing teams wherever business process and program execution are needed.
- Improve the internal workflows that support customer delight and more reliable, transparent delivery outcomes.
- Spot operational gaps in a rapidly changing environment and build streamlined, scalable processes to address them.
- Over time, recruit, lead, and grow managers who own major business operations and program management responsibilities.
Success Measures
In the first 90 days, you will learn Argentum AI's current operating model, tool stack, post-design execution process, handoff points, and top sources of operational risk. You will identify where work is most likely to fall behind and begin improving visibility and accountability around critical initiatives.
By 6 months, you will have set a stronger cadence for program management and business operations, improved internal tracking and escalation, and made it easier for leadership and teams to understand progress, blockers, and decision needs.
By 12 months, you will have helped create a durable business operations function that can scale with the company's growth, including an early structure for a manager-led team across core operating areas.
What the Company Is Looking For
Successful candidates will bring experience in business operations, program management, strategy and operations, operations leadership, customer operations, revenue operations, consulting, or another cross-functional operating role.
Strong operating judgment matters more than a specific number of years of experience.
You should have experience building process discipline and execution rigor in a fast-growing or high-change setting.
Program management capabilities should include ownership models, timelines, dependencies, risk control, escalation, and stakeholder communication.
The role requires comfort collaborating across business, operations, infrastructure, finance, product, and customer-facing functions.
You should be a systems thinker who can improve how work moves through the organization without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
Comfort with a mix of SaaS tools and internally developed systems is important.
Strong analytical and communication skills are needed, including the ability to convert ambiguity into clear plans and operating rhythms.
A bias toward action, direct communication, and practical execution is essential.
You must be able to build trust with executives, managers, individual contributors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
There should also be interest in, and the ability to, build a team over time.
Preferred Background
Experience in AI, cloud infrastructure, data centers, enterprise software, SaaS, hardware operations, infrastructure delivery, or another complex technical operating environment is preferred.
Experience building or scaling a PMO, business operations function, program management team, or cross-functional operating cadence is also highly valued.
It is helpful to have experience selecting, implementing, or improving tools for project management, workflow management, business intelligence, documentation, customer delivery, or internal operations.
Direct collaboration with senior leadership in a startup or high-growth company would be an advantage.
Working Style That Fits
The right person brings clarity to environments that change quickly, notices when ownership is unclear and corrects it, and can move from planning to execution without losing momentum.
You should build useful processes rather than process for its own sake, stay effective amid ambiguity and shifting priorities, communicate plainly, and consistently follow through.
You should also understand that strong internal operations directly influence customer outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: USD 275,000 to USD 325,000 annually
- Potential performance-based bonus
- Health insurance
- Possible equity participation
- Fully remote position with no fixed time-zone requirement
- Some travel is expected, with flexibility on scheduling
Application Note
Argentum AI is seeking a hands-on operations leader who can build structure, sharpen execution, and help scale a fast-growing AI infrastructure business.
