About the Role
We represent a rapidly expanding global investment firm with multi-billion dollar assets under management, focusing on innovative credit and alternative investment solutions for institutional clients. As the firm broadens its presence across North America, it seeks a driven Business Development professional to spearhead capital raising initiatives and cultivate enduring relationships throughout the United States.
This pivotal position involves collaboration with senior executives to shape and implement the firm's distribution strategy in North America. The role demands an individual with institutional sales experience, ideally familiar with credit products, hedge funds, alternative investments, or private equity secondaries. The position is located on the East Coast and entails travel commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage 5 to 12+ years of expertise in institutional sales, capital raising, or investor relations within asset management or alternative investments.
- Maintain and expand a robust network among U.S. institutional investors and consultants.
- Drive sales and secure mandates, particularly involving credit, hedge funds, or alternative investment strategies.
- Function effectively in a dynamic, lean, growth-driven environment with an entrepreneurial approach.
- Exhibit polished communication skills and strong commercial acumen in client interactions.
Requirements
- Proven record in institutional sales and capital formation, with an extensive U.S. institutional investor network.
- Experience with credit, hedge funds, alternative investments, or private equity secondaries is highly desirable.
- Strong capability to generate new business and successfully close deals.
- Self-starter mentality comfortable with fast-paced, growth-focused company culture.
- Excellent interpersonal and client-facing communication skills with sound business judgment.
