Position Summary
The Director of Business Development is a key role driving commercial growth during a critical expansion phase, blending technical expertise and strategic sales to build lasting customer collaborations in pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device markets. Based remotely or hybrid within the U.S., this role involves navigating complex client needs, developing opportunities, and contributing visibly to company success in a dynamic entrepreneurial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement territory and account strategies to meet annual sales and revenue goals.
- Identify and pursue new business prospects within targeted market sectors.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline via prospecting, networking, referrals, industry events, and direct outreach.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement to contract negotiation and closure.
- Consistently achieve or surpass assigned quotas and performance benchmarks.
- Establish strong relationships with sterilization operations, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and executive teams.
- Communicate Noxilizer's technology benefits and value propositions effectively.
- Lead customer presentations and solution-oriented discussions.
- Collaborate across internal departments to tailor customer solutions and enhance satisfaction.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitive landscape, and new technologies.
- Offer market intelligence and customer feedback to guide product and service development.
- Represent Noxilizer at conferences, trade shows, and industry gatherings.
- Build strategic alliances with industry influencers and partners.
- Maintain detailed CRM records, track opportunities, and forecast sales.
- Provide regular updates on sales activity and market insights.
- Support broader business and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of proven success in business development, account management, or technical sales.
- Experience selling to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or similar life sciences industries.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Advanced skills in consultative sales, negotiation, and relationship management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% or as required.

Additional Details
This role reports to the Vice President of Business Development and offers a compensation plan combining base salary and a variable component targeting 50-75% of base salary. Location is flexible within the U.S. with hybrid or remote arrangements. Travel up to 50% is expected.
