Role Overview
The Director of Marketing for the EMEA region will be responsible for formulating and executing marketing and CRM strategies that align with and surpass the company's goals across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This role reports directly to the President of EMEA and is based in London.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all marketing initiatives across diverse operating models including directly operated stores (DOS), franchises, and wholesale to ensure alignment with global guidelines and localized market demands.
- Develop and implement strategic marketing plans tailored to support both brand presence and commercial performance in the region.
- Manage marketing budgets collaboratively with relevant stakeholders to optimize allocation and usage.
- Supervise CRM tool development and corresponding regional marketing tactics, working closely with the CRM Manager to leverage customer-centric analytics and data-driven insights.
- Drive partnership development efforts to enhance brand positioning and attract new clients.
- Oversee strategies for special events and experiences, as well as media planning initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry influencers, department stores, joint venture, and franchise partners.
- Monitor marketing outcomes, taking necessary corrective measures to meet objectives within budget.
- Ensure consistency of corporate branding across all marketing materials and events.
- Keep abreast of competitor products, sales, and marketing activities.
- Prepare and present regular marketing reports to executive leadership.
- Collaborate with franchise and JV public relations teams to reinforce brand awareness through coordinated strategies and shared resources.
- Maintain robust relationships with wholesale partners to guarantee brand support and maximize brand exposure within their operations.
- Coordinate closely with regional PR teams to align marketing and PR efforts for maximum impact.
Required Skills and Experience
- Must possess a college degree or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience with CRM systems is advantageous.
- Multilingual capabilities in several European languages are desirable.
- Demonstrated senior marketing experience within the luxury fashion industry with strong budget management, strategic planning, and team leadership skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of CRM and database management contributing to future strategy development.
- Proven experience working across multiple countries within EMEA, appreciating cultural differences and tailoring marketing strategies accordingly.
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent brand development acumen and ability to execute strategic marketing projects.
- Exceptional time management skills with the capability to juggle multiple projects and collaborate across departments.
- Effective presentation, project management, and negotiation skills.
