The company is instrumental in developing landmark destinations like Qiddiya City through extensive development initiatives and strategic long-term operational planning.

Role Overview

The Director - Finance and Control will play a pivotal role in reinforcing the financial framework supporting City Operations. The position's main focus is to translate operational priorities into precise financial plans, controls, reporting structures, and analytical insights. The role requires strong collaboration with finance teams and business partners to facilitate informed decision-making and disciplined operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities for City Operations in alignment with QIC Finance.
  • Design and implement service charge and cost recovery systems, encompassing data inputs, calculations, reporting, and cross-unit collaboration.
  • Establish and track financial KPIs, generate management reports, and provide performance insights to support leadership decisions.
  • Manage budget control and expense monitoring across City Operations, identifying risks, deviations, and opportunities for cost efficiency.
  • Lead the invoicing process through partnership with City Operations teams and QIC central finance functions.
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of asset registers and general ledger accounts; handle reconciliations, accruals, and support period-end closing processes with QIC Finance.
  • Coordinate with Finance & Controls, City Operations, QIC Finance, and other stakeholders to harmonize and implement financial processes effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related business discipline is required.
  • At least twelve years of pertinent experience in finance roles such as management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, or operational finance.
  • Practical knowledge of service charge structures, cost recovery, or shared services financial frameworks.
  • Profound understanding of financial planning, expense control, variance analysis, and performance monitoring.
  • Strong expertise in invoicing, maintaining general ledger integrity, reconciliations, accrual accounting, and period-end closing procedures.
  • Proven ability to convert operational requirements into financial strategies, reports, and actionable insights while collaborating effectively with senior leadership, financial teams, and business units.
  • Advanced degree (Master's) in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
