Primary Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement proactive business development strategies aligned with company growth goals.
  • Identify, target, and engage potential pharmaceutical manufacturers, CDMOs, CMOs, and life sciences service providers.
  • Establish and nurture executive-level relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and procurement authorities.
  • Utilize networks, partnerships, events, and market data to generate qualified business leads.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams on demand generation and account-based marketing efforts.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor landscapes, and customer challenges.
  • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline to consistently surpass revenue objectives.
  • Qualify prospects and ensure alignment with the ideal customer profile.
  • Design account strategies and plans for key opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting and track opportunities in CRM systems.
  • Guide sales processes from lead qualification to deal closure.
  • Work with solution architects and subject matter experts to create compelling proposals.
  • Participate in bids, proposals, and presentations.
  • Lead contract negotiations, oversee proposal submissions, pricing discussions, legal reviews, and contract finalization.
  • Coordinate with legal, finance, and operations to manage commercial risk.
  • Ensure contracts meet company goals while preserving positive customer relations.
  • Drive timely deal closure and resolve contract barriers.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven significant experience in pharmaceutical industry business development.
  • Demonstrated success managing multimillion-euro sales pipelines.
  • Extensive experience negotiating enterprise contracts and commercial agreements.
  • Proven capability in engaging with C-level executives and senior business leaders.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
