About the Role
Guidehouse seeks an experienced Director to serve as Chief of Staff to the Chief Experience Officer (CXO). This pivotal position acts as a strategic and operational partner, driving execution, leadership alignment, and decision-making across the Technology organization. The Director will facilitate the translation of CXO priorities into actionable plans, ensuring cross-functional collaboration, comprehensive communication, and consistent follow-through on key initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the CXO leadership operating rhythm, including meetings, priority assessments, decision forums, briefings, and follow-ups.
- Maintain tools such as decision logs, action trackers, dashboards, and escalation processes to promote alignment and accountability.
- Prepare agendas, presentations, and communications to support clear executive decision-making.
- Convert CXO directives into specific actions with defined owners, milestones, and measurable results.
- Identify potential organizational and execution risks early and ensure resolution or appropriate escalation.
- Collaborate with the CXO to define and communicate strategic goals, priorities, and operational focus.
- Facilitate executive discussions to align leadership on transformation, investment, and operational decisions.
- Evaluate options and build business cases to support CXO initiatives, enabling objective resource allocation.
- Work alongside HR and business units to assess workforce capabilities and develop talent strategies aligned with organizational modernization.
- Support efforts including organizational design, workforce planning, succession management, and capability building.
- Design and oversee execution roadmaps that balance strategic goals, funding, and organizational readiness.
- Establish governance frameworks, performance metrics, reporting mechanisms, and program controls aligned with CXO objectives.
- Act as a confidential advisor to the CXO and foster stakeholder relationships across functions to ensure cohesive execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Information Systems, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Engineering, or related field.
- Over 12 years of substantial experience in chief of staff, strategy, transformation, operating model design, or related roles supporting senior executives.
- Proven track record in building leadership operating rhythms, driving cross-functional execution, and developing strategic plans.
- Expertise in executive communication, organizational change management, and workforce transformation.
- Strong skills in analysis, problem-solving, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment with high integrity and professionalism.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree such as MBA or in Organizational Development, Technology Management, Human Resources, or related fields.
- Experience leading enterprise-wide technology and workforce transformations within consulting or large corporate environments.
- Background in supporting Chief of Staff offices, strategy offices, transformation management, PMOs, or enterprise transformation functions.
- Familiarity with cloud modernization, enterprise architecture, AI, digital transformation, and technology operating models.
- Certifications like PMP, Prosci Change Management, Agile, SAFe, Lean Six Sigma, or similar credentials.
- Consulting experience advising executive leadership on organizational transformation initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary for this position ranges from $226,000 to $376,000, determined by qualifications, experience, certifications, and other factors.
