About the Company
80Twenty is a boutique recruitment agency specializing in operational roles and connects fast-growing companies with talented candidates. Our client is an integrated creative and performance marketing agency, established in 2012, operating out of San Francisco, New York, and Vietnam. The agency collaborates with both leading Fortune 500 companies and emerging Series A and B startups, servicing B2C and B2B sectors across creative, content, paid media, and performance marketing. Currently, the organization is expanding rapidly with an emphasis on agile client service and is actively embracing AI technologies.
Role Overview
The agency is seeking a Chief of Staff to introduce operational structure and rigor to their expanding distributed workforce. Reporting directly to the founder and CEO, this individual will oversee internal coordination, create and implement processes, and spearhead the deployment of AI tools throughout the company. This role was created in response to scaling challenges and requires an operator who can establish systems from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operational coordination across teams based in San Francisco, New York, and Vietnam.
- Create comprehensive standard operating procedures covering time tracking, resource management, and onboarding.
- Lead talent acquisition and onboarding as the team grows.
- Design and implement streamlined workflows for vendor payment processing and billing.
- Source and oversee a bench of AI-driven content creators.
- Drive the adoption and integration of emerging AI tools across the agency.
- Supervise office operations during the expansion of the San Francisco headquarters.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO on strategic initiatives and critical business priorities.
- Establish the foundational operational systems to support a dynamic and rapidly growing client portfolio.
- Develop scalable processes to accommodate increasing headcount and operational complexity.
Qualifications and Experience
- Prior experience as a Chief of Staff or key operations role within a high-growth environment such as a tech startup or agency, reporting to the CEO.
- Proven success in independently designing and implementing standard operating procedures.
- A strong sense of ownership over complex and undefined business challenges.
- Experience working effectively within fast-paced, distributed teams.
- Ability to be physically present in the San Francisco office at least four days per week, with flexibility for remote work on Fridays.
- Previous exposure to marketing or creative agencies is advantageous.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and workflows is a plus.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- MBA from a prestigious institution with a background in management consulting or finance is desirable.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this role ranges between $140,000 and $180,000 annually, with potential adjustment for exceptional candidates. Comprehensive benefits package included.
