Job description

About the Opportunity

This organization is focused on transforming how brands utilize data to make smarter decisions such as selecting new store locations and engaging customers effectively. By integrating marketing, location analytics, and strategy into a unified platform, it empowers leading brands to act confidently. The team values fast movement, bold thinking, and deeply meaningful work.

Role Significance

This unique position combines the duties of a Chief of Staff and a Business Operations leader. Reporting to the CEO, the incumbent acts as a trusted advisor, strategic partner, and operational leader who aligns priorities across the executive team, drives execution, and helps the company maintain focus on critical objectives.

The role spans multiple departments including Product, Engineering, Data Science, Finance, Revenue, Customer Success, Marketing, Partnerships, People, and Operations. It focuses on simplifying complexity, enhancing communication, and enabling effective team execution.

This is not a traditional administrative Chief of Staff role nor simply an analytics job. The ideal candidate excels at developing operating systems, solving business challenges, facilitating executive decisions, and elevating team performance. Success comes through influence rather than formal authority, ensuring key actions are completed by the right people promptly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the CEO as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
  • Lead strategic projects from ideation through completion.
  • Support executive communications, board documentation, planning, and alignment on company priorities.
  • Maintain executive team focus on high-impact initiatives.
  • Establish and manage the operating rhythm for the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Facilitate executive meetings, quarterly business reviews, annual planning, and leadership retreats.
  • Translate decisions into actionable plans with clear ownership and accountability.
  • Identify and address risks, dependencies, and execution gaps proactively.
  • Create executive dashboards and KPI frameworks that serve as reliable organizational data sources.
  • Enhance transparency into financial and operational metrics including revenue, profitability, customer status, and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead business reviews to support timely and informed decision-making.
  • Convert complex data into practical guidance and recommendations.
  • Drive cross-departmental projects and initiatives that span multiple teams.
  • Enhance communication and collaboration across the company.
  • Develop scalable operating processes to support organizational growth.
  • Remove barriers to execution and keep teams focused on the most impactful activities.

Candidate Profile

  • Brings structure to complex scenarios by building systems that help the whole organization align and execute with efficiency.
  • Demonstrates proactive problem anticipation and consistent follow-through to create clarity amid uncertainty.
  • Influences without formal authority through approachability, collaboration, and genuine support for others’ success.
  • Navigates fluidly between strategic thinking and tactical action, facilitating executive discussions, designing processes, and hands-on problem-solving.
  • Communicates directly and fosters accountability by challenging assumptions respectfully and promoting better team outcomes.
  • Thrives in ambiguous environments, independently determining next steps when answers are unclear.

Experience Requirements

  • Over 10 years of leadership experience in roles such as Chief of Staff, Business Operations, Strategy, Consulting, Product Operations, Revenue Operations, or Corporate Development.
  • Proven partnership with senior executives in fast-paced technology companies.
  • Strong financial, operational, and analytical skills.
  • Track record leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication skills including executive-level written and verbal abilities.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Experience in industries like SaaS, AdTech, MarTech, data, media, or marketplaces is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary ranging from $175,000 to $200,000 annually.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and mental wellness benefits.
  • Flexible and remote-friendly working arrangements.
  • Opportunity to work on meaningful projects with a collaborative team culture.

The hiring company is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce.
