Job description
About the Role
This position is responsible for steering the long-term management and day-to-day performance of airport-owned assets and facilities. The role focuses on keeping infrastructure dependable, safe, compliant with regulations, financially efficient, and aligned with the airport master plan. It also covers asset strategy, facilities operations, capital planning, and sustainability work in a demanding 24/7 aviation setting.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning
- Support the creation of the Airport Operations Asset and Facilities Maintenance business plan so it stays in line with KSIA strategy.
- Turn plans into action and contribute ideas that help meet asset and facilities objectives tied to KSIA’s wider strategic goals.
Budget Management
- Work with senior management on asset and facilities budget needs and provide input during budget preparation.
- Use the asset and facilities budget efficiently and provide accurate updates on progress and any issues encountered.
Airport Assets Management
- Create and implement a full asset management approach across the entire lifecycle of airport assets, including planning, purchase, operation, maintenance, renewal, and disposal.
- Make sure asset and facilities plans match the airport master plan, capital improvement program, and long-term financial objectives, while also building knowledge of local market trends, business opportunities, and the regulatory environment.
- Advise executive leadership on infrastructure risk, performance, and investment priorities.
- Manage daily facilities operations across terminals, landside and airside areas, utilities, maintenance buildings, and administrative properties.
- Maintain strong standards for reliability, safety, cleanliness, and passenger experience across all airport facilities.
- Lead preventive and predictive maintenance efforts to improve asset performance and reduce downtime.
Stakeholder Management
- Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Gather stakeholder feedback on challenges and requirements, then use it to identify barriers and create action plans.
- Increase exposure to local market developments, business opportunities, and the regulatory landscape.
- Represent the function in forums, seminars, and similar events to expand networks and stay current on developments and opportunities.
People Management
- Take part in identifying and recruiting key talent.
- Coach, guide, and support direct reports so they can carry out their work according to policies and procedures.
- Set individual performance goals, provide support, evaluate team members, and give regular performance feedback.
- Build a high-performing work culture that reflects KSIA values.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, construction management, business administration, or a related equivalent field is required.
- A master’s degree in engineering, facilities management, construction management, business administration, or a related equivalent field is required.
- At least 8 years of experience in a similar or equivalent role, including a minimum of 4 years in a managerial position.
- Demonstrated experience in asset management.
