Overview
Scoot, founded in 2012 with three Boeing 777-200 aircraft, has expanded to a fleet of over 50 planes including the Airbus A320 family and Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The airline emphasizes technological advancements for increased passenger comfort through quieter engines and reduced turbulence. The First Officer role involves collaborating with the Captain to ensure safe, punctual, and comfortable flights while delivering Scoot's unique brand experience known as 'Scootitude'.
Responsibilities and Role
As First Officer, you will support the Captain in managing flight operations safely and efficiently, contributing to on-time performance and passenger satisfaction.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1500 hours total fixed-wing flight time on airplanes with a Maximum Takeoff Mass (MTOM) of 5700 kg or above.
- Possession of a Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore issued ICAO Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- Applicants holding a foreign ATPL must complete license conversion, including an instrument rating and a proficiency check valid for at least six months.
- Proficient English communication skills at ICAO Level 4 or higher.
- Compliance with vaccination mandates set by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for aviation and continuous learning.
- Team-oriented attitude, exhibiting composure, confidence, and maturity.
- A positive sense of humour to enhance the working environment.
- Alignment with Scoot's corporate culture known as the 'Scootitude' DNA.
Training and Bond Terms
- Selected candidates will undergo Aircraft Type Rating training pertaining to the assigned fleet.
- A training co-payment and bond agreement will be required from candidates receiving type rating training.
Selection Process
- Initial screening followed by online aptitude testing for shortlisted applicants.
- Invitation to the Singapore-based Assessment Centre involving group activities and individual interviews for those progressing beyond online tests.
- Final stages include a 2-day Simulator Assessment and Personality Assessment.
