Role overview

The Digital Marketing Operations Specialist will support the everyday publishing, maintenance, and optimization of the company website and broader digital content environment. This role partners with Marketing, Product Marketing, Creative, Legal, and outside vendors to execute content updates, manage web publishing, improve search visibility, run quality checks, and maintain governance standards. Success depends on strong precision, technical comfort, organization, and the ability to use digital tools, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions to improve website performance and content findability.

Website publishing and content operations

  • Handle the full publishing process for website content, including campaigns, landing pages, product pages, resource assets, and legal or compliance-related changes.
  • Update and manage site content in WordPress and comparable content management systems.
  • Coordinate scheduled and last-minute website changes while keeping content accurate, consistent, and aligned with publishing standards.
  • Receive publishing requests, sort priorities, and manage work across several active projects and stakeholders at once.
  • Work with internal teams, developers, designers, agencies, and contractors to ensure content is delivered on time and with quality.

Content maintenance and site governance

  • Maintain content quality through audits, page updates, content removals, and unpublishing tasks.
  • Set up and verify redirects, support URL handling, and preserve internal linking structures.
  • Spot and fix broken links, outdated content, content quality gaps, and usability concerns.
  • Support governance work by keeping documentation, publishing rules, and operational procedures current.
  • Make sure all updates follow SEO, accessibility, and user experience standards.

SEO, analytics, and optimization

  • Apply on-page SEO improvements such as metadata changes, structural updates, internal linking, redirects, and keyword alignment.
  • Support SEO, GEO, and AI-focused discoverability work led by digital marketing leadership.
  • Assist with website testing, analytics checks, and conversion optimization efforts.
  • Help implement and validate tracking, tags, forms, and measurement requirements.
  • Review website performance data and identify opportunities to improve discoverability, engagement, and the overall user experience.

Collaboration and operational excellence

  • Coordinate website updates and digital initiatives with Marketing, Product Marketing, Creative, Legal, agencies, and external vendors.
  • Track requests, deadlines, deliverables, and dependencies through project management and ticketing tools.
  • Share project progress, risks, and completion timelines with stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain process documents, publishing guidelines, and operating playbooks.
  • Use automation and AI-enabled tools to increase efficiency, simplify workflows, and improve execution quality.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements that strengthen website operations, content management, and digital marketing performance.

Qualifications

This position calls for at least 2 years of experience in digital marketing, web content management, marketing operations, content operations, or a similar area. Candidates should have practical experience with WordPress or another content management system, a working knowledge of HTML, CSS, website structure, and publishing workflows, and familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console. A solid understanding of SEO fundamentals, on-page optimization, and site governance is also important, along with prior exposure to website updates, publishing, QA testing, or digital marketing operations. Strong organization, communication, and project management skills are essential, as is careful attention to detail and the ability to quickly learn new tools and concepts.

Preferred qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred. Additional experience with redirects, metadata updates, content audits, and site optimization projects is helpful, as is familiarity with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog. Experience with Jira, Asana, Monday.com, or similar project management systems, along with Figma or other design collaboration tools, is a plus. Background in SaaS, technology, eCommerce, or digital marketing environments is beneficial, and prior use of AI-enabled tools for publishing, research, automation, or marketing operations is valued.

Travel requirement

This role may involve travel of up to 10%.

Compensation and rewards

The expected base salary for this role is between $65,000 and $90,000 per year. Final pay may differ based on location, skill set, and relevant experience. In addition to base compensation, the role includes a discretionary bonus equal to 10% of annual base salary for non-sales positions, plus a benefits package and, where relevant, sales incentives.
