Job description
Role Overview
The Digital Marketing Assistant / Social Media Manager will plan, produce, publish, and refine digital content across social and online marketing channels. The aim of the position is to build stronger brand visibility, improve audience interaction, and contribute to business growth through consistent, high-quality, insight-led content.
Key Responsibilities
This role involves building and maintaining content schedules, preparing and posting content, and coordinating both visual and written assets for campaigns across platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and similar channels. All content must stay aligned with brand rules, campaign objectives, and audience needs.
You will handle day-to-day social media operations by tracking channels, replying to comments and direct messages, and keeping the brand voice active and consistent. The role also requires monitoring performance metrics including reach, impressions, engagement, follower growth, click-through rates, and conversions, then using that data to improve future content and campaign outcomes.
In addition, the position supports wider digital marketing initiatives such as content marketing, email marketing, paid ads, SEO/SEM coordination, influencer outreach, and promotional activity. It also includes competitor review, audience research, and trend tracking to find new opportunities for engagement and growth.
Close collaboration with design, content, product, and marketing teams is important to keep campaigns unified and messaging consistent across all channels. The role may also contribute to idea generation, campaign planning, and brand storytelling efforts that strengthen the overall digital presence.
Qualifications and Required Capabilities
Applicants should have a solid grasp of digital marketing, social media strategy, content creation, audience engagement, and brand communication. The ability to plan and run multi-channel social campaigns is essential.
Experience with social media management tools, scheduling platforms, analytics tools, and digital advertising platforms is needed. Familiarity with CMS platforms and basic design tools is considered an added advantage.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to create clear, engaging, and brand-appropriate content for different audiences and platforms.
An analytical approach is important, along with the ability to interpret performance data, spot trends, and adjust content strategy based on insights.
The role also calls for strong organization and time management skills, especially when managing multiple campaigns, adapting to platform updates, and working effectively in a fast-moving environment.
Working Arrangement
This is a part-time, onsite position based in Australia.
