Job description
About the role
Wing is looking for a skilled events marketer to join M32 AI, a venture supported by leading Silicon Valley investors and focused on creating agentic AI for conventional service businesses. The environment combines startup pace and flexibility with corporate stability and very little bureaucracy.
This position sits within the marketing team and is a remote contract role for someone with 2 to 4 years of experience who enjoys hands-on execution, logistics, and fast-moving work. You will partner with sales, marketing, and product teams to convert event participation into meetings, opportunities, and revenue.
This is the first events-focused hire on the team and is an individual contributor role. It suits someone who values creativity, autonomy, and the freedom to test new event ideas. It is not a fit for candidates who prefer rigid direction and heavy structure.
Key responsibilities
You will manage both in-person and digital event programs, including industry conferences, trade shows, lunches, webinars, and podcasts. In many of these digital events, you will also host and serve as a public-facing representative of the company.
- Identify, assess, and rank event opportunities such as trade shows, conferences, and industry gatherings that support the ideal customer profile and revenue targets, while maintaining a 12-month rolling event plan.
- Handle vendor and venue relationships, including negotiations for sponsorships, booth space, speaking opportunities, and extras that improve value for money.
- Own full event delivery from start to finish, covering booth setup, shipping, swag, collateral, lead capture tools, badge scanners, AV, catering, hotel allocations, and travel coordination.
- Serve as the on-site lead for every event, including booth build-out, troubleshooting during the event, and tear-down at the end.
- Prepare internal attendees by sharing goals, talking points, target accounts, and logistics so the team is aligned before each event.
- Work with sales to arrange pre-event meetings, host on-site dinners and customer gatherings, and ensure leads are captured, qualified, and followed up promptly.
- Coordinate pre-event and post-event promotion with marketing through email, landing pages, paid campaigns, and social media to increase booth traffic and meeting bookings.
- Own event budgets across the full calendar, keeping spend under control, forecasting accurately, spotting risks early, and making trade-offs when priorities change.
- Set event KPIs, measure outcomes such as leads, meetings, pipeline, and ROI, and produce clear reports that explain results and identify improvements for future events.
Requirements
- 1 to 4 years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or event coordination, preferably in B2B or tech.
- Proven ability to run events end to end, even if the events have been smaller in scale.
- Experience managing event budgets, including forecasting, tracking spend, and optimizing return on investment.
- Comfort with defining KPIs and creating reports that connect event activity to pipeline and revenue.
- Strong practical use of AI in events or marketing workflows; this is required, and examples of using AI for research, outreach, reporting, content drafting, or lead enrichment are expected.
- Working familiarity with HubSpot on the CRM side.
- Solid project management skills with the ability to manage timelines, vendors, budgets, and multiple moving parts reliably.
- Confidence negotiating with vendors and event organizers to secure strong terms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to brief leaders, coordinate teams, and engage prospects confidently.
- Composure under pressure and the ability to solve problems quickly when events do not go as planned.
- Availability to travel 30% to 50% during peak event periods across North America, with possible travel to Europe as the company grows.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of residence; visa sponsorship is not available.
- Must live within about one hour of a major airport with frequent direct flights due to travel demands.
Location and work authorization
This role is fully remote and open to candidates located in the United States or Canada. Because travel is central to the job, applicants should be based near a major airport hub with strong direct flight connections to common event cities.
Examples of acceptable U.S. hubs include Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington DC.
Examples of acceptable Canadian hubs include Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, and Montreal.
Candidates based near other major airports with strong connectivity to cities such as Las Vegas, Orlando, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, or Austin are also encouraged to apply.
Nice-to-have experience
- Hands-on experience with event platforms such as Cvent, Splash, Bizzabo, or Goldcast.
- Exposure to international events or vendor management.
- Background in B2B SaaS or another fast-paced technology environment.
Hiring note
Because this is a senior-level opening, candidates do not need to complete any preliminary assessments that may be sent by email; these can be ignored.
The company may use AI tools during parts of the hiring process, including resume review, application analysis, and consistency checks. These tools support the recruitment team, but final decisions are made by people.
