Job description
Role overview
This position is for a Mechanical Quality Assurance Manager supporting a Saudi Aramco project. The role is based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and involves managing QA/QC execution for installation-related work at Qatar, along with yard-level coordination and compliance tracking.
Key responsibilities
The selected professional will oversee the end-to-end QA/QC process for project execution, coordinate with the third-party inspection agency, client teams, SCM, and PMT, and ensure that all quality activities align with customer expectations and the company’s Quality Management System.
Core duties include examining inward material inspection records, clearing Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), and reviewing vendor quality documentation such as Inspection and Test Plans, Welding Procedure Specifications, Procedure Qualification Records, and non-destructive testing documents and reports covering UT, MT, PT, RT, and PMI. The role also includes checking procedures for surface preparation and coating, factory acceptance testing, and hydrostatic testing.
The job requires participation in pre-inspection meetings, weekly quality review meetings with the client and yard team, and both internal and external audits. It also involves driving the closure of any non-conformance issues, reviewing inspection reports and release notes, and ensuring that all QA/QC deliverables are completed in line with project and client requirements.
