Aviva AutoCare Centre, supported by Solus and aligned with Aviva Canada, is a newly built collision repair facility designed to improve the customer journey. The centre focuses on removing friction from the repair process and helping customers return to normal life sooner. Role Summary
The Detailer will support day-to-day operations at the Aviva AutoCare Centre in Mississauga. The main focus of the job is the final cleaning, preparation, and presentation of vehicles after body, paint, and structural repair work. Every vehicle must leave in pre-accident condition or better, while meeting the high cleanliness and quality expectations of the collision repair process. The right candidate will be meticulous, efficient, and aware of how vehicle presentation affects customer satisfaction and repair turnaround.
Responsibilities
- Carry out the final cleaning of repaired vehicles so they are ready for customer delivery.
- Vacuum and clean interior areas impacted by repair work.
- Wipe down glass, interior panels, and other surfaces to remove debris from the body shop.
- Complete final inspections around the vehicle to catch any remaining flaws before handoff.
- Support masking, prep work, and protection of interior or exterior areas when needed.
- Move vehicles between departments, work stalls, and parking locations.
- Keep the detailing space, tools, cloths, and equipment clean and organized.
- Help the workshop lead maintain smooth workflow, order, and general shop cleanliness.
- Work in line with all safety procedures for chemicals, coatings, and shop machinery.
Requirements
- Prior experience in automotive detailing is an asset, particularly in a collision repair setting.
- Working knowledge of cleaning agents, compounds, waxes, and polishing equipment.
- Ability to spot imperfections in paint and body repair work.
- A valid driver’s licence with a clean driving history.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs during the shift.
- Comfort working in a busy, fast-moving environment.
- Strong eye for detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards.
- Clear communication with production and management teams.
- Good time management and the ability to meet delivery timelines.
