Designer - Men's Underwear at Hanes Brands Australasia

Role Overview

We are seeking a creative Designer to become a vital member of the Bonds Design team based in Pyrmont, Sydney. This position primarily focuses on the Men's Underwear segment, collaborating closely with the Senior Designer alongside cross-disciplinary teams. Your role will be to help shape seasonal collections, identify and incorporate emerging trends, and conceptualize innovative product designs that connect with millions of Australian customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and design seasonal product collections that reflect the Bonds brand ethos and meet customer expectations.
• Investigate trends in fashion, colors, and consumer behavior to inspire innovative product concepts including prints and fabrics.
• Collaborate with departments such as Merchandising, Research & Development, Technical, and Supply Chain to guide products from initial concept to market launch.
• Prepare and update product specifications, development documentation, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) data.
• Produce engaging presentations, storyboards, and marketing materials to support seasonal launches.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and quality standards to ensure product delivery aligns with expectations for fit and finish.
• Actively contribute ideas to enhance product design and development methodologies within the team.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in Apparel or Fashion Design roles, preferably within retail, fashion, or consumer brand settings.
• Educational background in Fashion Design, Textiles, or a related discipline.
• Proficient in apparel design processes and product development.
• Ability to harmonize creative vision with consumer needs and commercial objectives.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of fostering productive relationships with various stakeholders.
• Highly organised with the capacity to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office; experience with PLM systems is a strong advantage.
