This Design Assistant role supports the Bonds Women’s Underwear division, contributing to the development and execution of new seasonal product ranges aligned with key timelines. It's an excellent opening for an aspiring designer passionate about product detail and rapid product development cycles, involved throughout the process from concept to product handoff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the design team in bringing seasonal underwear collections to market.
- Support range design tasks and conduct trend analysis relevant to product development.
- Prepare product presentations and manage administrative aspects linked to product development.
- Collaborate effectively within the team to meet deadlines and uphold quality standards.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a degree in Fashion Design, Fashion and Textiles, or a related discipline.
- Have 1 to 2 or more years of experience in a similar, internship, or apparel design supporting role.
- Display a strong enthusiasm for women’s underwear, with an understanding of product development, fabric choices, fitting, and garment construction.
- Hold solid knowledge of textile materials, apparel production, and overall product development workflows.
- Bring commercial creativity—knowing how design serves customers, brands, and business goals.
- Be highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Maintain a proactive, adaptable, and cooperative work style, thriving in a fast-paced setting with tight deadlines.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office programs such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Proficient with Adobe Illustrator; Photoshop skills considered advantageous.
