About the Company
Arquitectonica is a globally recognized architecture and planning firm, known for its award-winning, design-centric approach. With over 500 employees spread across eleven offices worldwide, the Miami Headquarters is currently seeking to add a Design Manager with a minimum of 8 years of relevant architectural experience.
Role Summary
The Design Manager will oversee multiple projects during their design stages and potentially supervise several design teams. The role involves extensive client interaction, including participating in presentations and ensuring deliverables align with project requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Design Principals and Company Leadership to create and refine client design presentations.
- Lead project teams to complete and finalize design tasks.
- Serve as main liaison for clients, managing communications and attending meetings.
- Develop detailed project plans respecting schedules and budgets to deliver on-time results.
- Oversee project timelines, deliverables, staffing, meetings, billing, and promptly report any concerns to leadership.
- Support and mentor interns and junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, consultants, and internal staff.
- Adopt a proactive and solution-focused mindset when addressing project stakeholders’ needs.
- Ensure all designs comply with zoning regulations and building codes for complex projects.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related design discipline; Master's degree in Architecture preferred.
- Licensed Architect status preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years continuous professional experience, including work on Multi-Family Residential and Commercial projects.
- Demonstrated strong design capabilities coupled with a creative vision.
- Ability to independently solve problems while fostering collaboration across disciplines and with clients.
- Excellent communication skills to present design concepts and project needs effectively.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high client engagement.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
- Ability to obtain and retain a valid passport to accommodate occasional international travel if needed.

Additional Information
Compensation is commensurate with the candidate's experience and skills. This full-time position is based at the Miami office; remote work options are not available.
