Job description
Overview
The Deputy Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for spearheading quality assurance activities to ensure products and services meet stringent industry norms and customer expectations. This role involves managing vendor evaluations and audits, performing detailed weld inspections, and overseeing non-destructive testing (NDT) procedures, as well as reviewing welding procedure specifications and procedure qualification records.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of quality assurance protocols and initiatives across projects.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant industry standards and customer requirements to guarantee product and service quality.
- Supervise and conduct assessments and audits of vendor quality systems and performance.
- Perform weld inspections and non-destructive testing to verify the integrity of materials and components.
- Manage the preparation and review of welding procedure specifications (WPS) and procedure qualification records (PQR).
- Develop and maintain Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) aligned with project needs.
Qualifications and Eligibility
Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering.
