Job description

Role Overview

This opportunity is for a two-year contract position as a Skills Manager at the CET Academy. The selected individual will spearhead initiatives focused on workforce skills assessment and development, collaborating across departments and external partners from various industries to boost workforce transformation and enhance industry capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive skills gap analyses to compare existing employee capabilities against required competencies.
  • Utilize assessments, surveys, and interviews to gauge skill levels accurately.
  • Identify learning needs and success metrics for training programs.
  • Design and execute training and development programs to elevate workforce capabilities using Skills Frameworks and SkillsFuture resources.
  • Partner with educational institutions and academic collaborators to create tailored learning solutions and interventions.
  • Manage and deliver training programs targeted at SMEs, coordinating products from different schools.
  • Secure government funding when applicable and implement plans to ensure program adoption.
  • Coordinate workshops, seminars, and training events, engaging suitable trainers through partnerships.
  • Drive strategies to maximize participant engagement and conversion rates across platforms.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and maintain progress records, measuring return on investment for clients.
  • Generate detailed reports on skills assessments and training outcomes for leadership evaluation.
  • Continuously research industry trends and skill demands to inform and improve training initiatives.
  • Promote a culture advocating continuous learning and professional growth.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, or related disciplines.
  • 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in domains such as learning and development, business development, account management, event or project management.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management capabilities to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data to inform decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
  • Experience managing training initiatives, preferably including CET training programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage various projects in a hybrid working context.
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong collaborative skills.
