The Government Productivity Engineering (GPE) group at GovTech focuses on developing productivity tools and reliable technology to improve national public services, infrastructure, and digital transformation support across government agencies.
Role Overview
We seek a Deputy or Assistant Director to lead a substantial subset of programmes comprising multiple major projects. The role involves translating strategic priorities into tactical objectives, coordinating execution across various teams, and directly engaging with senior leadership from government agencies to align on strategies and digital initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex programme segments, breaking down broad challenges into actionable workstreams and clear roadmaps.
- Act as the primary liaison to senior leadership and CIO teams across agencies to communicate GovTech's product roadmaps, identify harmonization opportunities, and promote effective technology utilization.
- Develop and implement effectiveness indicators to evaluate and improve the impact of GovTech’s products and services on government transformation goals.
- Oversee delivery and performance of End-User Support Services, including managing change initiatives.
- Build strategic, trusted relationships with key stakeholders, resolving conflicts and facilitating collaborative solutions.
Candidate Profile
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude with the ability to handle ambiguous problems and devise clear, actionable recommendations.
- Expertise in stakeholder engagement and alignment, particularly related to ICT strategies and digital transformation.
- Capacity to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and lead cross-functional collaborations effectively.
- Strategic thinker with a broad outlook on diverse issues impacting programme delivery.
- Sound knowledge of ICT architectures, delivery, and operations management, including risk identification and mitigation.
- Adept at multi-team collaboration and managing competing priorities.
