Deputy Department Manager - Jewelry & Watches

Role Overview

The Deputy Department Manager for Jewelry & Watches will support the Department Manager in running the day-to-day business of the Jewelry & Watches department. The role focuses on helping deliver sales objectives, keeping inventory at the right levels, maintaining a high standard of customer care, driving promotional activity, coaching the sales team, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Operational Support

• Help manage the department’s daily operations and keep processes running smoothly.
• Make sure stock ordering and stock transfers follow the established procedures.
• Support the planning and optimization of stock levels and usage.
• Work with area managers to maintain the desired stock availability.
• Contribute to the preparation of purchase plans.

Sales and Target Management

• Track daily sales and review performance against monthly and annual targets.
• Assist the Department Manager in taking action to achieve revenue goals.
• Follow up on sales results and share regular progress updates with the Department Manager.
• Take part in managers’ meetings to review store performance and provide feedback.

Marketing and Events

• Support the execution of in-store marketing initiatives and promotions.
• Assist with department events such as trunk shows, fur events, and similar activities.

Customer Service

• Ensure the team consistently delivers a premium customer experience.
• Respond to customer needs and resolve concerns in a way that exceeds expectations.

Team Leadership

• Support the Department Manager in leading, engaging, and directing the sales team.
• Help set goals and budgets for team members.
• Coach and train team members to improve performance.
• Hold regular one-on-one check-ins and mentoring discussions.

Supplier and Partner Coordination

• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, logistics, and merchandising teams for openings, closings, and renovation-related work.
• Maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and business partners to support collaborations.

CRM and Clientelling

• Follow up on CRM activities to support full customer contactability and compliance with Dior Know requirements.
• Coordinate with CRM to plan the department’s OTO schedule for upcoming weeks and months.
• Ensure individual OTO targets for the team are planned, tracked, and followed up on.

This position is based in Dubai Mall, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and is a full-time onsite role.
