Dental Assistant - Clinical Support in Saudi Arabia

Job Overview

We are looking for Dental Assistants to provide comprehensive chairside support to general or specialist dentists during various clinical and surgical dental treatments in Saudi Arabia.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist dentists with a wide range of procedures including diagnostic, operative, periodontal, orthodontic, prosthodontic, endodontic, surgical, preventive, and pediatric dental treatments.
• Prepare and discharge patients efficiently, carry out immediate cleaning and disinfection of instruments and equipment, manage inventory and supplies, maintain relevant records, and fulfill other tasks as directed by the dentist.
• Support dentists during patient examinations by retracting tissues and aspirating fluids carefully to ensure patient comfort.
• Practice four-handed dentistry by anticipating the dentist's needs to optimize treatment effectiveness, including participation in dental surgical teams.
• Complete advanced dental procedures under dentist supervision as required.
• Review and update patient medical histories, alert dentists about significant issues, and accurately chart oral condition findings and treatments provided.
• Maintain and refresh skills in First Aid and CPR, assist in managing medical emergencies until additional help arrives.
• Provide patients with postoperative care instructions as prescribed by the dentist.
• Execute other duties as assigned by management based on organizational needs.

Work Environment and Schedule

• Work is performed fully indoors.
• Schedule consists of 6 working days per week with 1 day off.
• Standard working hours are 8 net hours daily following the shift plan approved by the department head.

Job Requirements

• Education: Diploma in a relevant field.
• Experience: Between 2 to 5 years in clinical dental assisting.
• Computer skills: Proficiency with Office applications and Health Information Systems.
• Languages: Fluent spoken and written English and Arabic.
