Job Overview
This senior role centers on directing and supervising all facets of corporate applications management, encompassing human resources, finance, procurement, and other business-related software systems. The position involves assessing and recommending new technological solutions, aligning these initiatives with the company's strategic objectives, overseeing their deployment, and ensuring continued operational excellence through performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute strategies to effectively acquire, implement, and utilize corporate applications including HR systems, financial software, procurement platforms, and associated enterprise tools.
- Partner with the IT department and business leaders to synchronize application strategies with overarching business goals, particularly collaborating with end-user leadership and application management teams.
- Oversee all phases of corporate application projects—from planning and execution to delivery—ensuring timeliness, budget adherence, and quality while proactively managing risks and resolving issues.
- Lead development, customization, and enhancement efforts of corporate software solutions; supervise ongoing maintenance and support to guarantee system reliability, performance, and compliance with IT standards and regulatory mandates.
- Recruit, train, and evaluate the corporate applications team, fostering an inclusive and cooperative workplace culture that promotes innovation and ongoing improvements.
- Engage with stakeholders throughout the organization to comprehend their requirements and challenges, ensuring clear communication about application functionalities and limitations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Oversee vendor relationships by managing contracts and negotiations to secure optimal value and services from software suppliers and service providers.
- Monitor emerging technologies and industry best practices in corporate applications, advocating for and driving the adoption of cutting-edge improvements to boost operational efficacy and productivity.
- Maintain high availability and performance of applications while instituting robust security measures to safeguard sensitive data, aiming for minimal downtime, elevated user satisfaction, and zero security breaches.
- Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to application performance and security, leveraging insights to drive continuous enhancements.
- Lead department performance management through KPI development, ongoing feedback, training initiatives, and guidance to align team output with organizational objectives and stimulate professional growth.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, and service level agreements to ensure uniform operations and uphold service quality within the department.
Work Environment
- 100% Indoor work setting
- Five working days per week with two days off
- Working hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM including a one-hour break
Qualifications & Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or a relevant discipline
- Minimum of 10 years professional experience
- Demonstrated expertise in managing corporate applications in retail or related sectors
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Solid track record in leading major IT projects with excellent project management skills
- Fluency in English and Arabic languages
