About the Role

The position is based at Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara. Minor Hotels is a global hotel operator and investor with a portfolio of over 530 properties under various brands, operating in more than 50 countries across several continents including Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa, Indian Ocean, Europe, and South America.

Job Responsibilities

As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will support the Executive Chef by preparing appetizers as well as meat and vegetable dishes for main courses. You will ensure that food presentation meets high standards and that each guest receives quality food promptly. Your duties will also include assisting in the recruitment and training of kitchen staff, enforcing kitchen health and safety protocols, and maintaining high cleanliness standards both personally and within the kitchen. Efficiency and composure during high-pressure situations are essential.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree or any recognized culinary degree
  • Minimum of one year’s experience as a Demi Chef in hotels or restaurants
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and delivering outstanding customer service
  • Keen attention to detail to uphold operational excellence
